Well, to cut a long story short, today I got another one (3 in total now). I didn't open it but immediately deleted it but still got charged.
I was so naffed off I rang Vodaphone, told them the number and they gave me the company name & phone number.
They also explained that you do not need to open the text to be charged, the fact that it actually gets to your phone is enough for you to be charged.
I rang the number given to be told that the company had moved and was given another number.
I rang that and got through to a bloke who stated that his company doesn't operate on that basis etc etc.
I did get his name (Dutch) then phoned Vodaphone back again to update their info.
I then spoke to consumer direct about it. They didn't know you didn't even have to open the text to be charged either.
I now have an incidence number but can't remember now what the number was!
Anyway, I then did a search on the net using the customer name and guess what? One of the affiliates they use is IPoints!! Need I say more?
Hopefully I wont have to complain to the phonepayplus as my call to the guy will have done the trick.
However, over the course of these things starting it has cost me £15 to date and I get less than £13kpa so it is a lot of money to me.
I am spitting mad
